Uhhh /....motW > Opeth.

I'm not kidding. I don't know why there's so much Opeth hype on Sputnik but honestly I think they only have a few good songs per record.

Maudlin on the other hand....all gold.

This definitely deserves more than a 4. I'll listen to it again today and I might uprate it.

Bath is my favorite album ever. But I mean, if you consider them as a double album, this would be my favorite album too. So I should probably 5 it.

This album is just so fucking consistent that I can't really pick a standout track. They're all pretty equally awesome except Monstrously Low Tide which is a bit weaker. Bath has The Blue Ghost, Heaven and Weak, Birth Pains of Astral Projection, and Geography, which is likely my favorite song of all time.

Bath has it all, my favourite album ever too. This album though, is like a "heavier" sister album

dealing with similar concepts just presenting them differently.

Personally the reason I think that I prefer Bath more is because it's just so much more up Toby's

aisle it seems, especially when comparing like Gleam In Ranks to Heaven and Weak.

You listed all of my favourites off of Bath too, except Marid's Gift of Art which I

absolutely adore. Practically brought a tear to my eye the first time I heard it.

EDIT: Also, cannot wait until I get my vinyls. That will be the happiest day of my entire 16 year

old life.

I just ordered this and LYBM on vinyl.

Damned expensive for both, but it'll be worth it.

Listened to Bath for 2 years, then tried this.

Immediately better than Bath.

Both are almost untouchable.

How is this considered harsher?

It seems like an easier listen when compared to Bath. Much more surreal.

Bath and this on vinyl in the mail, waiting to drop into my greasy paws.

I'm cracking open a nice bottle of bourbon and going to chill the fuck out with some good listening.

I just listen to this Bath and Part the Second and I'm pretty happy. Don't really see why it really matter which is better. They all work pretty well together. Then throw in some Kayo Dot and Tartar lamb for good measure.
