I was going to write a review for that months ago, but never got around to it. I didn't like it all that much though, which is why I didn't really bother.

I know ras, not quite doom enough for you ;)

But seriously, it (Inherit the Eden) contains so much more than most doom albums could ever Hope to offer...lol get it?

Great to know Crysis, though yeah, DBlitz is right, objectively it's a 4 - 4.5 at best, I just happen to personally extremely love it. The first, fourth, and last tracks are phenomenal. This Message Edited On 10.24.08

This album has grown so much on me... I really didn't like it at all the first couple of listens, but I think it's pretty amazing now. I need to get their first one.

Yeah, this grew on me too actually, or rather I had a better listening perspective after I got into funeral doom, and the likes of mournful gust and hanging garden. Need to check out some of their other stuff too. The songs to tend to drag/be repetitive, but there's a lot more emotion here than I first gave them credit for.

@ Angelphoenix: Yeah, that's exactly the experience I've had with this album. 4 is a tad high of a rating, I think, but I think I'll keep it because there are some truly jaw-dropping moments here. Like the last half of "Doomed to Walk the Earth".

If you slowed Opeth down and made them mediocre, you would end up with these guys.

Easily, the melodies on this sound as if they have been lifted from an Opeth album and slowed down to no end.

Damn it wizard, this album is good.

Too Cold For Tears is excellent. Possibly the best song on the album.

Too Cold For Tears is great but I prefer These Low Lands from this album though Plague of Butterflies is easily their best song. This Message Edited On 02.03.09
