They certainly are, and Alder can barely sing in the low fifth octave anymore while Arch still has most of his high notes intact in his 50s. Alder may have had his range for a few albums, but then he lost nearly everything in his fifth octave by the new millennium.

He smokes and doesn't even like to sing that high anymore (maybe because he can't... chicken or egg). Either way, Alder fits the new material really well. We just need a second Arch/Matheos release to have the best of both worlds.
