Personally I don't like Owens' vocals, they are what spoil the band for me. A friend told me he only sings with one lung, so that's impressive if it's true.

He doesn't sing bad at all to me, I love his voice. His screams aren't bad at all. He can carry a tune, and carries a good one throughout the album. Im not trying to convice you anything, just saying that I like Chiodos, so what? Does it really bother you THAT much that I like them? You're just trying to get kudos from your buddies by bashing em.

The only contributions of yours I can remember are idiotic statements.



And the big difference between the singers of those two bands and Craig Owens, is that both of those bands have singers that compliment the bands perfectly. Rancid is a sloppy punk band, which is why they have rough sounding vocalists. Circle Takes the Square is borderline chaos, which is why both of their singers sound on the verge of a nervous breakdown. If Chiodos had really dynamic music (like Glassjaw, who benefits from having a singer who goes all over the place), then maybe he would fit better. But the fact is that he doesn't. They make linear and uninteresting music that isn't at all helped by his pitchy and uncontrollable sounding voice.



Or maybe you need to re-read the review that this whole thread is about. Then maybe you'd have some idea as to why I dislike the band.

I understand we have completely different opinions on Chiodos, it just seems that everyone who comes in here to say they like em, your right there to bash them and reiterate the same freaking opinion over and over. I understand you don't like them. Let's just shut the fuck up and get over it man.
