dang this got pretty vicious for a while.
the only christian metalcore band that has consistently done anything for me is as i lay dying, and they arent amazing, just pretty good and very consistent.

Look. I would rate this album a 4.5 due to an insufficient intro and outro. any one
else hear is clearly unaccustomed to the genre of music. It would be like shoving
country at a rapper, or grind-core at a gospel artist. Now don't get me wrong, i
listen to my share of music, ranging from rap to alternative to death metal, so I
have looked around the scenes. I honestly haven't heard as good of an album in a
while, and Mike(growl vocalist) definitely blows any other vocalist out of the water
on this one.

The critique wasn't written well, I think we all picked up on that, but the album
was, for sure, better than a 3.5

Better than a 3.5 this is not. Sorry but I honestly have quite an affinity for TDWP and this album is really more of a 3. I just don't really feel like they try hard enough in their writing process but maybe that will change on their new album (I hope). The album is enjoyable (as is their new one) but anything higher than a 3.5 is kind of overkill considering the band isn't really groundbreaking or new...

That aside, their live show is freaking spectacular. Most energy I've seen from a band in quite some time...Plus Jeremy spit water on me haha. This Message Edited On 09.04.08
