It's flarkin crazy, right? It's like one of those cases where everyone witnesses someone being murdered, but no one helps

haha! most drastic comparison EVER. no dude, but really that sucks. i don't know what to tell you except maybe post your concern on a MOd's review that they are likely to see. and what do you mean you're "gone from this place tomorrow?"

Why hang around when I can't access the forums? How about this comparison: I feel like I'm being held outside of the club. The bouncer is deaf in both ears and can't hear my pleas about being cousins with the owner. I keep on trying to shout in his blown-out ears that I should be inside and sitting with the owner, who's my sister's best-friend's husband, as well as being my cousin. So, I keep shouting as all the other people in line walk right in, no problem. I eventually grow horse from all the screaming and then my screams eventually die down. I do some work outside the doors. Clean up some debris from the ground. Squeegee the windows while I'm out there (i.e. write reviews, make comments on other reviews). But, eventually I grow board of that. I try screaming in the bouncer's ear that my uncle Jeremy owns the entire city and he should really let me in. But, it's to no avail. I'm not getting in. So, I eventually walk away and see what other clubs are open.

to be honest not many people on the review side use the forums regularly. it's basically like 2 different sites. i think you should still hang around this side until you can get a Mod to hear you out

Funny you should say that because I finally, at this precise moment, received a reply from Sputnik. The person who returned my email is named 'Dave'. You know the dude? Well, Dave says sorry about the mix-up and that he's referred my problem to the Adminstrator. I hope that this does the trick. If I do access the forums anytime this decade, I'm sure that I'll still continue to do reviews and drop comments on them. It'll be like I go in the club to drink and meet the ladies. But, I come outside to smoke and make out with the ladies. I love this comparsion thing. lol.

i have just listened this album a few times and it doesn't make it for me. The only song that i really enjoy is "to sirius" (i really like this one). The rest of the album is just average.

I remember this album took me quite a lot of listens to sink in properly. But once it does its really quite enjoyable. Saying that, this is probably the only album I rated 4 where there is more than 1 track I would regularly skip when listening.

You're right, HeadCharge123, this does take some time to sink in. Which means that it is pretty original stuff, despite what the reviewer has said. It took me a half dozen or so spins before I was really into these guys. But, one thing I noticed just recently was the similiarity between this singer's vocal delivery, and what Jonathan Davis from Korn does. I had several different bands' tracks playing on random tonight and when Gojira came up I was trying to place who they are. The vocals right off the bat reminded me of Davis. Now that I'm listening to the remainder of the album, I can't get the Davis comparison out of my head. The music certainly doesn't sound like Korn though. Pretty inventive stuff. I'm glad you bought this album for me, HeadCharge123. Thanks.

I kind of sit on the fence with this album. I love it untill I get a little tired of it towards the end. however this should discourage people from checking it out because there is some real power in this album.

At the end of the day, the reason I picked this album up is because "Back Bone" made me shit my pants!!
(it continues to do so too)

I saw these guys live, and I was hooked after that.

From Mars To Sirius is just amazing. The guitars are heavy and thick and the pick scraping they incorporate into some of their songs is quite neat and is something I haven't really heard before. Mario Duplantier's drumming works well with the riffs. I also really enjoy the vocal work from Joe Duplantier as well. This Message Edited On 01.09.09

Great album, poor review IMO. These guys live are amazing incredibly original and the stage presence is staggering. I saw them open for In Flames and they blew them away.

I think people either can't deicide if they like gojira or they really do. that's kinda how I am, I own form mars to sirius and honestly other than flying whales and to sirius I don't think this album holds it weight in satisfaction. I mean when I first heard of gojira and started hearing some of their songs like Love I thought "Ok, I think imma definatly chec these guys out" at first, I LOVED Gojira ( on the ride home from buying the album) but after only a few listens I kind of gave up on them. I don't know what happened, I felt...unsatisfied. I haven't even checked out their new album, I probably should, but I think I may be setting myself up for disappointment.

Good album, so dense it feels like a brick wall hitting you in the face. However its a little unfocussed in places as well, Way Of All Flesh is better IMO
