either when a stream pops up (which I'd assume maybe tomorrow or when the Lazarus video drops) but considering The Next Day had a stream on iTunes a week before it came out three years ago, I'm going to assume there'll be no stream. So if that's the case, midnight on Thursday.

@pleb Heathen is one of my favorite Bowie LPs overall, but fuck Blackstar gives it a run for its money as being his most consistent since Scary Monsters (or Outside, but whatever)

speaking of The Next Day, has it seriously been that long? Goddamn, how the hours do improve...

Next Day was a really safe LP of Bowie but it's still great.

From what I've heard on Blackstar he's going back to being weird again which I LOVE.

Absolutely, he really branches out on this one though he does rely a bit on callbacks from his 90s material, or takes some influence from it. There's bits and pieces that wouldn't sound out of place on Black Tie White Noise, Outside or Earthling. Couldn't really take notice of anything that'd be fitting on Hours, maybe the synth heavy "I Can't Give Everything Away". That and "Dollar Days" are the closest to normal, classic Bowie you'll get on this album.

V2 Schneider best tune on here

As far as Blackstar goes the whole thing isn't as experimental as t/t which is a shame its more of a Station to Station type deal but still rules obv

Oh yeah, it does bear the similarity in its centrepiece is this hulking title track, surrounded by rather lengthy tunes.

It's really inconsistent compared to Heathen, but Bring Me The Disco King is a classic tbh. Really straightforward rock, which is a downer imo
