truthfully i need to do a research dive one day and figure out exactly *what* wilder contributed to the albums he's on lol. the only thing im certain is him is the "bwowww" low bass synth on the downbeats of enjoy the silence's chorus
i really like ultra tho think that definitely has songs that stack up with the run beforehand. home is a contender for my favorite song gore sings in their whole catalogue

I don't know either, but he certainly didn't want to play real drums. I think Alan Wilder was basically Fletcher but they liked him more. I know a little about Depeche Mode but there are certainly so many amazing stories about them that may remain untold. Also the Devotional tour was insane on its own.

I did this before where Black Celebration in the USA had an extra track and I felt I was going crazy how it wasn't in the Europe edition. We'll "Shake the Disease" tonight. That song is omg so good and never on an album.

I am not going down on my hands and knees. Also I as hesistant because I thought there was a playlist and ads probs. Here is a plea onto you......

Sounds really sexual but I assure this is done for scientific reasons eh. I really want to know why Alan Wilder left the band. I think it is basically because he didn't want to play live drums and Fletcher became the clapper and management person.

nah, it was more complex than that
first of all, Wilder did most of the studio magic, his work greatly contributed to their sound back in the day, unlike Fletcher's
you can check Alan's work with Recoil to truly appreciate his skills, or just simply jam his remix of In Chains, which is far better than the original: https://youtu.be/4di_xvACaI0
second, by the end of Devotional tour, they got totally squeezed out, with Dave's drug and Martin's alcohol problems, so it Alan's leaving was more due to personal conflicts rather than issues with drumming
at least that's what I've heard : - ]

I was intoxicated and sleep deprived. I think Fletcher became more on the management side later on. But people would often say all he does is clap.
I figured Alan did a lot of the technical stuff.

Fletcher was crucial as the buddy keeping the band together, buffering the tension between the other egos. Both Martin and Dave admitted that the band would have called it quits many years ago if he wouldn’t have been around. Props for that.

I think Fletch for sure was that. I never really listened to any of the Gore or Gahan solo stuff. Could be good. I am just going to bump this because, scientific reasons. Depeche Mode was supposed to be over initially before Ultra came out. This isn't quite Robert Smith every album is their last. Just hehe Some Great Reward was at the end afterall.
