This review really sums up my view of the album as well and it's why I sold the album after only owning it a couple weeks.

There's a difference between skill and talent.

Dragonforce has plenty of skill.

But no talent.

...that doesn't really make all that sense.

They're both skilled and talented. Just not very original songwriters.

Their older stuff was done on a decent level.

i will give them credit, they are some of the fastest guitar players ive seen, they just write some music that is IMPOSSIBLE to take serious

Wait, dragonforce writes music? I thought they just played power chords and went along with it....

I hear that Li does a lot of his stuff in A Major 7

This is one of the most boring and repetitive albums i have ever had the misfortune of listening to. I 100 percent agree with the comment about it being 8 versions of the same song. The guitarists have earned my respect, but the FUCKING DRUMMER KNOWS HOW TO PLAY 3 DIFFERENT FILLS!!

"The" comment? I am sure there have been quite a few comments in that regard. I have told most people who have had the misconception of believing that Dragonforce is amazing that if you have heard "Through the Fire and the Flames", you have heard everything they have ever written ever. A tad extreme, I suppose.

Maybe a little extreme, it doesn't stop them from being boring as all hell.

Lol sure it was an extreme comment, but when you hate a band you hate a band, ya know.

this is more than a 1 but all there songs do all sound the same and the only reason anyone knows who they are is because of guitar hero

I do not necessarily hate them, but... I think they get way more credit than they deserve.

They don't really deserve much at all. Studio bands with no songwriting ability deserve very little praise.

While I agree with what you're trying to say, you didn't support it very much and you are way too harsh. The ability of the band to be able play this stuff is pretty amazing. But this is by no means anywhere near the best power metal out there.

That belongs to Kamelot and Lost Horizon. Dragonforce is a fun band for me to listen to.

Dragonforce is only good for songs, not going through the whole album. Operation Groundpound is very good.

One of the most overrated bands ever. Who really gives a fuck if they can play super fast? Most of it is repitition or sounds alike anyway due to the stupid comical sounds of the guitars. The vocalist is terrible as well as the lyrics following suit. With all this, I truely don't understand how people can listen to this mindless, pointless dribble and say it is anything above awful. As for the musicians all saying crap about how none of it is the same, it sure sounds like the same shit over and over again most of the time, and I have a more than adequate musical ear.

Listen to To Live is to Die or something, that piece proves that truely amazing music isnt about stupidly fast and difficult pieces. If I wanted a display of instrumental skill, I wouldn't like it accompanied by a terrible vocalist and other repetitive music alongside it.
