I do agree, for me it was a 2007 discovery that quickly grows.

This album is incredibly creative, well written, story telling, folk/metal at his best.

Not perfect but Classic, for me, it is. Peace.

Pretty interesting. Not sure if it all works for me yet, but it certainly has something.

Okay I definitely like this a significant amount and should’ve checked it sooner. At first I wasn’t sold on the vocals, but I’m getting there.

Anyone who hasn’t should check Persefone - Core, shares some stylistic similarities, albeit without the Jewish element. Vaguely reminiscent anyway.

Their other averages are much lower, wondering where I should go next.

This is becoming one of my favourites, easily a top 5 non-Opeth prog death album anyway (I haven’t worked that out by the way, so I will not be held to such throwaway statements).

Also The Storm solo ^ (2). It really is amazing. So many gorgeous melodies and impressively flawless transitions to be found. It’s all about those Jewish folk influences. If anything the riffs could do with a tad more low-end crunch and the growls are ‘whatever‘ but who cares?

unsung prophets and dead messiahs has some really stunning moments, but it's quite different to this. this one has yet to really click with me. gonna try it again.
