Same, Lateralus and Aenima are albums that are so ridiculously hyped, but imo worth all of the universal praise they get (even if the stereotype of their onboxious, pompous fanbase has also been earned 100%)
But yeah, when this is on I think it's impressive, but then I forget about it like 2 minutes afterwards lol

it's cliche to say the site is dead and it isnt because generally the last couple of years new users have been pretty decent, but its so boring these days coming into any thread and getting exactly what you predict - miserable people disparaging anything and everything and posturing on an irrelevant forum. it would be fine if there was any substance or discussion in these comments, but those 'eye-roll' comments are the majority of comments made on the site these days, just unfunny attempts to appear elitist. the one thing this site had on places like rym before was the ability to have longer and more fleshed-out discussion, and that's slowly eroded into snarky off-hand comments everywhere vying for attention and taking over every part of the site. there's no point to this site anymore other than a few morons giggling to themselves as derail anything worthwhile. it's played out and dull. it's always the same suspects and i find it hard to genuinely believe they enjoy anything. maybe i've been on this site too long idk, but there's so little bringing me back here these days other than the few people i like interacting with who aren't already on discord servers.
