Love that one too, I would never have expected that track from these guys but they fucking nailed it. The sky really is the limit, they succeeded in almost every style of music they try here. I really can’t wait to see what they do next.

Incredibly inventive and creative - I also cannot wait to see to what they have in store in the future.

Really all I hope is that whatever is next feels a little more focused. This feels very scattershot but somehow it works for them on most tracks. Trim a little fat and this is a hard 5.
This record is a full 21 MINUTES longer than Celebrity Therapist, and unfortunately it feels like it in a few places. Still a really amazing album from probably the most exciting young band I can think of.

Saw them in Bristol on Friday - such a good gig (although I was also majorly impressed when I saw them at Download in 2023 as well). All the songs off this album (particularly Lemon) were great live.

Alright, Portrayal of Guilt is playing the same night as these guys and Arm’s Length, that show starts a full hour after this one… if I book it (to the other side of fucking town) after these guys finish their set I’m really hoping I can catch Portrayal of Guilt.
God fucking damnit man. My city has a fucking drought of no goddamn bands for months on end then finally we get some shit and two of my favorite bands are playing on the same night. Kinda bummed that I’ll miss Arms Length but oh well

Whilst I MUCH prefer the Daoboys to Portrayal of Guilt, naming an album Christfucker surely means they're a good time live.
Speaking of which, the Daoboys gig in Bristol was in a converted church.

overall I’d say I like Portrayal of Guilt more, but this album is better than anything they’ve done imo, so push comes to shove I’d rather see these guys especially since they’ll probably mainly be playing shit off this.
And yes Portrayal of Guilt is absolutely insane live. I actually saw them for the very first time like right after their first EP came out opening for Birds in Row, so they really weren’t long, and I was sold immediately. Bought that 7” right after the show. Loved them ever since.

I really, really hope I can make it to that show in time, but something tells me their sets will overlap. I really gotta try to game it out, maybe when the date gets closer I can try to call the venues and see if they’ll know the set times.
The place these guys are playing it is a little more “professional”, they definitely run a tight ship, while Portrayal of Guilt is at a way more diy venue, trying to catch them both is really gonna be a crapshoot

I honestly think I’d be fine with him going into more of an alt rock / metal direction given how good Lemon and Mona Lisa are.
