The calm section in Deer Dance is the best thing they've ever done.

I don't need to play any SOAD, cuz everybody else is playing them for me, in the the office, in the gym..... everywhere.

Don't get the acclaim for this band at all
they range from mildly interesting to fucking annoying

they have a pretty unique style and good lyrics so I can see the appeal. for me it's mostly heavily flavored nostalgia.

Album Rating: 4.5
While nostalgia is there, this band just kicks ass regardless.

this album and their first really have that punk aura to them. some riffs are pretty sloppily played and the whole no-shits-given delivery is what I really dug about them in the first place waaaay back.

SOAD's discography is pretty consistent in my opinion. Nothing less than a 4 in my book

"nah mr alt master"
I have literally 1 alt...

s/t > this > hypnotize > steal this album! = mezmerize
|
| |
Album Rating: 3.5
I don't like Mez or Hyp at all, Daron's vocals basically just piss all over it and they're way too serious...
s/t > tox > STA! > mez > hyp
|
| |
Album Rating: 4.5
hyp is more consistant than sta!, and everything on mez just kinda meshes together with the exception of 2 really great tracks (lost in hollywood and question)
although i gotta agree with you on mez/hyp being a bit too serious for SOAD
