"Or are you going to tell me that reggaeton/trap is more acceptable than this because the lyrics acknowledge that there is sexual consent?."

The lyrics on this really aged like milk, especially Pretty Lush. Talk about a temper tantrum of a song. Still a good album but glad they progressed from here.

I know it's really lame, but I really wish that Coloring Book was on streaming services so I can have all my GJ material in one place. I think about this a lot and I'm sad a lot.

They are probably going to block me on facebook, but making a tour of this album after this article https://www.theguardian.com/music/2017/dec/01/cult-punks-glassjaw-return-it-was-offensive-you-dont-talk-to-a-woman-like-that its like being a fucking idiot.

the fact they had a merch capsule drop for its 20th anniversary told me they never cared that much. tbf they do change the lyrics when they perform some of the stuff live i think

Still my favourite GJ and a beast of an album.

Would love to see this live.

I've listened to this album many times. Every time I hear the vocals on Siberian Kiss I am still blown away. Absolutely legendary take. The amount of scorching emotion is just so palpable.

t/t is an all-timer, horrifyingly powerful song
[skip for tmi] am in hospital and just threw up a mouthload of pus about 10 mins ago. haven't been listening to music lately bc there's some fucky pressure in one of my ears, but seeing that track specifically bumped rn has kinda made my day, can't think of anything else that catches me that clearly rn

Lovebites and Razorblades is one of the best post hardcore tunes I have ever heard. That chorus sinks deep! And everything around it is relentless.
