Some of Mustaine's vocal tracks were lost and he re-recorded them for the remaster, obviously that created a bit of inconsistency.

To be honest I think Mustaine is a better vocalist now then he was when they recorded this but I could see the inconsistent sound being annoying. I also hate the loudness war shit.
