I never wore ear plugs at shows and now have tinnitus. Now wear them every gig. So recommend it. I also listen to music all day at decent volume so that doesn't help!

Get earplugs, dummies. You can buy a quality set that has almost no impact on sound quality for like 30 bucks and it will save your hearing. Also makes the shows sound better imo. There is such a thing as too fucking loud. It's easier to hear details with plugs bringing the volume to reasonable levels.
