I just never seem to "get" this band as much as other people do, and I'm a huge Animals as Leaders, Tesseract, and Periphery fan. Meshuggah is just such a single-use machine that I can appreciate but it never clicks into me really loving anything they do.

Meshuggah is a 2.5-3 band, and have been their whole career. There are bands currently doing it better. Get over it.

Nobody sounds anything like meshuggah lol. Not even any djent band. They're still doing it better than all the copycats too. They don't stray too far from their sound for sure but their songwriting is still top notch and they still blow my mind with every album

This may very well be the case. But that doesn't mean it's hard to find more talented bands. Meshuggah literally has 6 minute songs where the guitar plays 3 notes and for some reason people on this site drool all over them. I guess I just prefer stuff that's more eventful.

check again lol I've never 5'd anything from them, and what I did rate them was from 10 years ago. I used to like a lot of shit straight out of high school that I think sucks now, as all of us did. You don't like my rating then fuck off.

Gordodustin your absolutely right bro. The copycat meshuggah bands are way better than meshuggah themselves I agree. Hilarious
