Honestly the only track I don't understand the love for is Lament for Wasps. Everything else I feel like has been pretty impactful. Tbh, if the album ended with 'The Gnashing' I wouldn't really miss the last couple tracks even though they are good, the album just gets so samesy by the end that it doesn't matter if you cut a little.

It's not a joke ... its just kinda a long track of more of the same after a long samey album. I think its a good track, I just don't love it as much as I should every time I finally get to it.

Their lyrics can be quite weird, which is funny cause when they provide literal translations in interviews I sometimes think "huh, that sounds like kind of mundane inspiration for a song."
The first half of Mombasa is absolutely stunning, a band highlight for sure. That or Shellstar is a great pick for best on here for sure, the former especially reminds me of the new Slowdive in places.
