Seriously, imagine Ghost Reveries with the same production as PC, and it wouldn't be all that different.

I was hoping for more, but I've never really understood the hype around MB Brown. Yeah, she's an ok actor, why does this blow people's minds?

I really don't hear those GR and PC similarities Pika. GR sounds super old school Opeth (not taking about production, but melody, song structures, instrumentation, chord progressions), whereas PC has that new vibe and doesn't remind me of older Opeth in those aspects (again instrumentation, melody, song structures, etc.). GR is riff oriented, PC less so. GR is more homogenous, like older Opeth, PC is so diverse it's almost incoherent.

Damn this thing is bloody great except for a few transitions, riffs and over sung parts. The album outro riff would have sounded so much better if Mike had shut his darn gob

Gonna give it a spin too. At least this not as monotonous and cold as old Opeth.

The production, the vibe, the voice (growls and cleans),... Opeth is a band that doesn't catch my attention.

It has never happened to you with a band that we listen to an album and you don't find any sense? almost all the songs seem the same to you? Well, that happens to me with Opeth.

I'm gonna make a playlist with those songs. if I find a good song it will have been worth it.

I like To Bid You Farewell and The Night and The Silent Water. Morningrise is great.
