'People from the North have a funny accent'
What about people from the north that used to be from the south? My accent is now a bastardised amalgamation of a few things, lol. Funny, because my wife loved my 'posh' southern accent and now it often sounds like hers. Sorry darling.
And yeah Sputnik doesn't deserve Brexit talk, keep that shit out of here. In the UK that's all we ever hear about, unless BoJo is doing something dumb and unrelated I guess, which is unsurprisingly often.

Alright guys, here's my Dawn to Fear ranking so far:
Absolutely mindblowing classic CoL masterpieces:
The Fall
Inland Rain
Lights on the Hill
Perfect top-tier CoL tracks:
We Feel the End
Nightwalkers
The Silent Man
Songs I still don't consider highlights (but I'm sure I'll find a way to them eventually):
A Dawn to Fear
Lay Your Head to Rest

Album Rating: 4.5
S: Nightwalkers, Lights
A: Inland Rain, Fear, The Fall
A- : Silent Man, Lay Your Head
B: We Feel The End
All-in-all pretty terrible record.

Rosetta is still my ultimate post-metal band given the sheer strength of their first three records, but because of this record and the collaboration with Julie Christmas, Cult of Luna have overshot Isis for me. Oceanic through WR is one of the greatest stretches of metal records in the 2000s and essentially set the bar for quality post-metal, but the aforementioned albums combined with SATH, Salvation, and Vertikal.....come on, there's simply no comparison.

Hmm...
I think I prefer Galilean Satellites over anything by CoL but only by a paper-thin margin. The two that follow are incredible, yes, but are definitely not better (possibly equal to) than CoL's best work.

ISIS & Rosetta are hard 3.5s for me, their classics are anyway. I may have another Rosetta album at 4/5. Only thing that compares to these guys is Neurosis and one other solitary album (Inle by Fall of Efrafa, can’t really count their other releases as post-metal).
I’ve been told I’m weird though, so ignore me.
