After about a year of this being out, I can honestly say I enjoyed Grey Chapter more. I know that sounds insane, but I just can’t run from that fact anymore. I played Grey Chapter for years, and I still crave it every October. This is also great, but just didn’t have the same staying power for me.

Listening to this now for the first time, but not gonna lie, have never been a fan of this band.
Edit: You know, for a band that relishes in the imagery of the heavy metal extremes, their production sounds dangerously close to that of 80s Hair Metal.

Corey Taylor's holier than thou attitude towards radio-friendly music and pop music is kind of ironic given the vocal style of his cleans and the way he writes vocal melodies in general, its all very N'Sync/Backstreet Boys-like.
Edit: Yeah sorry, listening to the production on this made my inner Fenriz wake up, who forced me to rage-quit listening to this on the 2nd song, so I'm not gonna rate this, that'd be unfair.
I guess this kind of metal just isn't for me.
