Best ever use of fade out in that song
|

The fade out ending in rock/metal in general is so underrated. I always liked it.

I just hate when they put cool licks and fills in the fade out

That always puzzled me too, especially when songs fade out with a rippin' guitar solo. But at the same time, I kinda like it because it's a little more mysterious and every time I hear the song I pick out a new lick or something as it gets quieter.

Pink Floyd - Pigs is a GOAT for the bloc effect. Sikth are neat at using it when a song has Made Its Point though — closer here and Skies of Millennium Night hit their home stretch and milk it precisely as much as they need to before letting it fade
Fadeback is best when it's someone like Boris and they've changed chord for the first time in ten minutes but make sure the moment is lost in the fade. Knaves!

The riff in Way Beyond the Fond Old River is one of the greatest ever made. Like, the last twenty seconds when it stands out oooooh maaaan.

When the Moment's Gone intro riff is one of my all time favourites
