i would link the timestamp but the whole thing is worth a listen given its rarity. he essentially says that he and Justin hate releasing new materiel including interviews because they feel like they're doing "too much" or that it's contrived. very hipster of them, and i wouldn't expect any less. also the album took 6 weeks to make which isn't new news but is funny nonetheless.

they just really dont care or care too much about thier image, either way it really helps marketing because people are still fascinated by them and how elusive they seem to be. their merch and logo are iconic now in the underground as a result

They were performing Shira and NWE at shows I think as early as like 2015. Even video of them performing Citizen, like the exact rendition we hear on the album + a whole bridge and third verse, in like 2000. Lots of instances of them performing OCG songs in like 2007 too. Really does seem like they have tons of material just shelved for a rainy day lol.
