it's certainly made me want to relisten to this. feel i kind of unfairly wrote this one off after a couple dazed listens. 33 god remains one of my favourite songs of the decade though

First listen blew me away honestly, although I’m yet to hear the last track. Gonna get a few more listens obviously, but this seems like a perfect mix of 22 and the self-titled, and the self-titled is easily my favorite of his

heard it twice, teetering between 3.5 and 4. "naeem" is the only track that wows me

Dont get yall half the tracks are better than that

nothing onthe new album save for naeem sounds like a threat to bon iver's best stuff. i could name like 4 or 5 starlight tracks on each album but the new one seems to be seriously lacking in noteworthy moments. again though, gonna give it more time and see, but it's the least excited i've been for a bon iver release.

One stand out track and it's a 4??

Hard to believe he can go back to the cabin and make the magic happen again. Took a wrong turn with this one too so I'm going into the new one with very tempered expectations..

"wow" implies a 4.5+ song

Think I'm liking this one a little more than the previous...but it's not as good as 'Repave' let alone the first two Bon Iver

I'm enjoying the new album a good deal more than this. Might be second best Iver after two listens, just under the Bon Iver, Bon Iver.

p4k review is surprisingly good and accurate, a lot of early reviews rushing to conclusions and skimming over stuff they'd clearly heard like twice

New album hits hard, think of it as the conclusion to the story For Emma started and that might cause you to view it in a nicer light
|

3 tracks in and I am not feeling it at all. God, I hated the opener.

I found the second half to be stronger on first listen. On my third it all came together beautifully.

That Sax in Sh'Diah, mmmmm that hits the spot. Yeah, I'm loving this album.
|
| |
album gets tiring, i'm just waiting for it to finish during the closing section
|
| |
Second half is definitely better.
Maybe slightly better than this one but still a far cry from the first two.
