The remaster for this on iTunes, while much louder and compressed, is so great. It has the perfect combination of the shoegaze sound of Diamond Eyes and the compressed yet still subtle and intricate production of Saturday Night Wrist. Rare instance where I prefer the (loud) remaster to the original. Oh yeah and the sample of a doctor/teacher demonstrating the health of a teenager's heart at the end of Pink Maggit among so much other things is an incredible touch, I need way more listens to pick up the dense layers

Holy shit I just realized there are a few lyric changes like the end lyric of Knife Prty goes from "and lay down" to "and get filthy"

Yes but in this case I find the sacrifice well worth it and not only that the bass guitar is now much more audible (compared to the original, anyway) so

So is the remaster worth checking out? I didnt really think there was anything wrong with the original production but this sounds interesting

$2.39 for a song! I'd have to sell my car and possibly a kidney to continue listening to new music legally for the next couple of months

@Onion

Yeah I have both this and SNW 5'd but SNW is slightly better for me as well. Literally Cherry Waves is what decides it for me.

i just think snw's atmosphere makes the album a bit more cohesive than this.

plus, it comes down to which is better: feiticiera, digital bath, elite, knife prty, passenger, change, pink maggit

or hole in the earth, beware, cherry waves, uuddlrlrabselectstart, xerces, rats!rats!rats!, combat, riviere

and id probably take option 2. bewares ending is one of the best moments in their entire career

Remaster is totally worth checking out. Although I have a hunch it may have been a remix due to the fact that several songs clearly have lyric changes
