All albums since TOT have been them ripping themselves off as well as a few bands here and there

Omair is spreading so much truth on this thread.

If this had a standout song and eased up on the cheese it might be worth a rating bump.

yeah this is just boring throughout

I actually enjoyd a few songs here like Surrender, bigger picture and veil

The Enemy Inside the the standout song IMO, but it's still nothing amazing that makes the entire album better

Dude, wtf. Out of all the songs you pick that one

Behind the Veil's intro is great. Forgot that I enjoyed this album a bit

Yeah, I'd say that and The Enemy Inside are the only songs worth giving a crap about here.

Enemy inside's chorus is the only good thing about it. The intro wank is a prime example of why I'm so pissed with DT nowadays

I think they actually use it tastefully there and make it sound OK. Sure, it wanks a little too hard, but there's nothing wrong with it

It's extreemly soulless wank, just going through the motions.

Yeah, but at least it's not cheesy, unlike the rest of the album. DT has been lifeless since BC&SL anyway, especially laBrie

BCSL is one of their weakest

Album Rating: 2.5
Seriously? it's their strongest since ToT to me. The Best of Times is among their best

Without The Best of Times and The Count of Tuscany, BC&SL would definitely be one of their weakest imo.
Those two songs are classic DT, but Nightmare, Rite and Fortress are ridiculously disjointed
