Yeah, that part's beautiful. Transitions into one of the band's finest metal sections too :]

Wilson's lyrics leave a little to be desired but the musicianship is too damn good.

Some of his best lyrics are in the title track and Arriving, best music too. The rest of Side A, Open Car, and some of the lyrics all bring the points for this down a few decimals, even though nothing's less than good.

The verse lyric delivery on Open Car is jarring but (like with most PT tracks) the chorus saves it.
Arriving is perfect on all fronts, their best song.

Agreed. I had to learn Arriving on guitar and bass cause I loved it so much, the perfect example of a musical odyssey.
Open Car has some spotty lyrics and yea the verses aren't too great, but the rest of the song is pretty awesome.

Wilson is a great guitarist and songwriter ye, need to get the tabs up for this record.
Lets not forget how awesome the t/t is dude, that bouncy bassline!

I've always adored Open Car, but perhaps it's for more sentimental reasons in my case

The title track for this? I gave it a shoutout on the previous page, definitely the best on here after Arriving imo

Wilson reminds me a lot of David Gilmour on guitar. Whatever he may lack in pure technicality, he easily makes up for it in sheer style and memorability. People can say all they want about shredders, but years later, I can still recite the solo to Sound of Muzak note-by-note

Yeah I've realized over time that soulful, emotive guitar playing is more important than how fast and technical someone can shred, as impressive as that is.

Wilson is a brilliant song arranger, he knows how to craft a song that goes through all the progressive tendencies of his influences.
He's not a flashy guitar player but doesn't need to be tbh.

To The Bone exemplifies that really well, shows how incredible his music can be without being that technical for the most part.

I love how much the prog fans are bitching about the new album, as if he hasn't had a ton of pop in his other work. Lol

Somebody on Facebook literally put out a comment about To the Bone that said: "it's not prog, therefore I won't buy it." Fucking lol
