In a recent interview Kenny said :
"I was actually just back in Australia doing some writing with Karnivool and we’ve got some new stuff happening that we’re hoping to get together for the end of the year. I’m not sure we’ll get that recorded by the end of the year, but I’m sure it’ll be by next year."
Looks like that E.P is actually happening. Keeeeen!
Also Birds of Tokyo have been teasing new songs on their FB page and if people were upset by their change in sound on S/T and March Fires then they'll hate their new album. Sounds like they've left the rock behind completely and have gone full electronic/dance.

Yeah I heard the BoT sample on their FB, wasn't pleased to see that but I mean it sounded fine. Just so safe.
A Karnivool EP would be most welcome!

A.M. War has been my second favorite track on this since the day it came out. It tires itself out after Sky Machine but this has a ton of replay value for me

Dunno, I think Alpha is a pretty neat track.
A.M. War was a massive grower for me, I couldn't get my head round it for months after it's release.

AM War is.... alright. The production is horrible though.
Alpha Omega is actually one of my favorites. I think the album needs more songs like that.

Probably gonna be another 2 years at least till we see something new from these guys. I wonder what my taste in music will be like by the time we get another Karnivool album. It changed so much between Sound Awake and Asymmetry.

Definitely a step downward for them but some of the tracks on here still kick ass.

Nah, it still sucks. haha I can never look past its piss poor production. Some songs are okay, when you can hear it all properly.

why cos the review said so ah ok gotcha!

Album Rating: 3.0
Yeah, yeah that's what it is. Not the fact the levels are all over the place and everything sounds like it was knocked up to 11, ruining a lot of the songs because of it. No, it's because the review said so.
|
| |
"the levels are all over the place"
agreed lets have albums all at the one volume with absolutely no dynamic range good
are the levels "all over the place" or are they "knocked up to 11?" you're contradicting yourself... this doesn't even make sense.

ha I love the fact you think I've just read this review and gone "yeah I'm going to say this".
I listen to albums at home, but the real test is when I piut them on in a car, becasue i can hear everything great and this album was just one big bulk of sound, no layers. So yes, it felt like everything was knocked up to full and left at that.
|
| |
i don't think that.
i think that seeing the reception that this album received has consciously influenced your opinion on the music rather than your own mind forming judgements for itself.
