pika, i just think you'd dig their more raw material the most (EP, Warning, Mindcrime)....but I could be wrong

Well like I said, I liked Mindcrime A LOT

But given this band's extremely dubious reputation, I thought I'd ask around so I know which releases are worth my time :D

Empire and Promised Land have a much more polished sound, as does Rage For Order, compared to OM

They are all fantastic though

Geoff Tate's vocal delivery is as good as it gets.....so many odd words and lines that have no business sounding good, that sound amazing.....in other words, if you read them on paper and had to make a song out of them, you just fucking couldn't

and the leads from degarmo and wilton are incredible.....how do you even write that shit, so many of them, all on the same album?

right lol. Revolution calling should NOT be anywhere near as good as it is.

I'm right there with you Titan. It gets spun a solid once a week. Probably once a year it gets a full on, headphones, eyes closed focused listen. It's still magic the way it was when I was six.

God I love Tate. He's like the musical equivalent of a B-movie
