right, very few of those bands ever even come close to jesper and bjorn's material

For anyone that thinks this band losing jesper hurt them, I would direct you to his new band cyhra lol. And while I'm unsure of who did most of the riff writing later on, I feel like Bjorn's contributions probably get unfairly maligned compared to jesper

glenn ljungstrom also gets forgotten (co-wrote a lot of their material on lunar strain, subterranean, TJR, and whoracle)

I'm glad I'm not the only one who hears "IT'S IN MY ASS" LOL.
Last actually pretty good album from this band. Definitely better than Reroute and Soundtrack.
I have to wonder, does this band actually have tons of new fans today? Like, has watering down their sound and mellowing out made them that much more accessible? Are they raking in the money now?
The vocals are still primarily "screams" (even if Anders is trash these days) and that's going to immediately turn off most people outside of the metal scene.
Most old fans fucking hate their new shit. But the "screaming" vocals are going to turn off most people outside of the metal scene so who are they appealing to with their new stuff?

First track remains epic

In high school we tried covering the title track but it was too hard for us

So the bands first 5 albums are considered the golden age with 2, 3, 4 and 5 all having at least a 4 average. Then the next 8 albums are where the dark ages started to begin. Their highest rated album during that time is Come Clarity with a 3.6, with the albums that are highest rated after it being the ones in between Come Clarity and the golden age of In Flames, so a;ljga;oigha;fnvweaoghwaa
actually none of this matters because I just figured out Europe overall loves their newer albums more than anything and they are never going to go back to their old styles because France, Austria, Germany, and Switzerland are gonna give them that $$$ for the stuff they do now.

I still remember the crowd's lukewarm reception when they played trigger during a headline show in London Astoria
Was funny

Honestly still love the title track, fun to play on guitar but still trying to get the solo to sound right.

Speaking of, I should give it a shot on guitar now

This album any good? What's it sound like? Thought Soundtrack for Your Escape sucked and I'm afraid to check anything after it.

If you thought StYE sucked then it's doubtful you'll like this. Check out Crawl Through Knives and see what you think.
