Yeah,the production is excellent but apart from that,I can't see why this can stand as a good album outside mainstream hip hop.

Pretty much my problem with it. It's basically an experimental mainstream hip hop album that still has many of the flaws and cliches of mainstream hip hop. He's a great producer, especially for using samples.
