I think the tone here is still a lot darker, it's angrier in a bit of a harsher way I think. I l o v e Transatlanticism but I definitely think it can come off a bit milquetoast at times

Phero Trans is top 5 OAT for me and I have a shitload of emotion and nostalgia associated with that so it’d be pretty much impossible for this to ever top (or even come close) to that for me, but I get ya.

its not like there's a bad song on here of course. Faster Gun just screams Secaucus b-side to me, not a fan of them when they're playing snotty pop punk even if it's got a hint of irony to it. still a 3.5 song on an album of 5s tho

I feel like at one point every song on here clicks hard - I remember for me the moment it all started falling into the place of perfection was through the first chorus on ‘Hopeless’ (esp. after I was waiting for to come in after the first verse), it’s so misleadingly perfect that you miss it on the first few listens
