It's definitely the outlier there, but I've always had a soft spot for it. So many great tunes... Dinosaur, Walking on Air, People, One Time... great stuff

It's a very oddly constructed album though. Quite a few detours and weird interludes, but I think they add character to the record

@Don: Nice to see some love for Islands, that one's underrated. In fact, I like it more than Lizard tbh

I also had Islands 4th (and so do I)

although I haven't heard anything post-Discipline, so all my rankings are null and void due to the fact I'm a massive poser

@Demon: I’d suggest Thrak and The Power to Believe as far as post-1981 Crimson records go. They both operate in a more metallic, even industrial vein but still retain the signature KC sound in the midst of these newer influences

Islands is a close 6th place for me. I love the opener and closer but the middle two songs kinda bring it down. The Letters has its moments, but is better live.

As far as post-Discipline KC goes none of it is particularly essential, but it's all fine I guess. Their best album since Discipline tho has to be this, which is essentially a KC album but under the band members' names for some reason: https://www.sputnikmusic.com/review/58285/Jakszyk-Fripp-and-Collins-A-Scarcity-Of-Miracles/

^ correct actually, took me a while but ‘Larks’ did jump above ‘Red’ for me

‘Court’ is next even if it’s a bit musty, just one of those legendary albums you have to respect

‘Discipline’ is a strange one but close to being 4th but I have time for Islands and Lizard

Wetton was KC's best vocalist, one of my favourites in general.

Has anyone noticed how the album artwork is very much not red? I should dock some points for this blatant act of deception
