Nothing else they’ve done comes close...

Still some other noteworthy material though, just doesn’t really compare to the greatness of this.

I shall explain my rate, there is people who live with acceptance, and there is people who live in denial, people who deem The Oceans Precambrian a classic live in denial. The German groupes 3rd studio album was written with dozens of people collaborating on it, but production leaves a lot to be desired, harsh vocals are "good" but I dont feel what hes saying, hes just screaming at parts that need to be heavy, and the clean vocals are rather weak all together. For an album about Precambrian era, lyrics are pretty nonsense, they often dont relate to the topic at hand, leaving me bewildered. Album is a bit of a slog to get through, usually I like long expansive albums but the songs on this keep too stylistically similar to warrant it imo. The slow parts are my fav part of the album, they are what keep me coming back, they make me "feel" something in an album where not much of that is going on. Not the oceans best work by any means, an overrated album with great moments here and there, come at me h8rz kekekek lololol

Massively overrated. Their later albums are better.

The first disc of this is pointless and unnecessary, and the 2nd disc has some great prog slug metal parts, but they far exceeded it all later.

Bro wtf, cold showers only. If that album was a hot shower I'd be sleepy after listening to it and instead I'm longing for more every time
