The palm muted riffing in planetary duality II is awesome.

Akeldama is better though. No songs off here can beat an autopsy, leica, pestilence, or all dark graves. And for people to not like akeldama because of the breakdowns is just plain stupid. For one, they kick ass and aren't stupid, generic typical deathcore breakdowns. And two, they are used sparingly and are placed perfectly in the songs. And there is only one per song

I don't like Akeldama, or this, because they're boring and don't go anywhere. Just a bunch of meaningless wankery. Has nothing to do with breakdowns.

i agree with hawks. as much as i wanted to like this the vocals are boring as hell and its just some boring shredding. they do have a couple of neat parts

I think his vocals are great. His lows are some of the most brutal and guttural lows I have heard. And the music is definitely standout and superb. I don't think there is any pointless wankery. This is all my opinion tho and i agree to disagree. But overall, I think this band has a distinct sound and they certainly stand out in the technical/progressive death metal genre.

You obviously haven't heard any actual brutal or guttural growls then Tommy

It's not really that wanky. Death metal purists who complain about shit like that are usually blowing it out of proportion. All these songs have great riffs, and they're all put together very well.

Toaster... I have heard a ton of death metal bands... I just really like his vocals... Not a big deal. I think they are definitely very guttural and brutal.
