I could see the mix being grating for some, but honestly I think it adds to the charm. It packs a lot of punch you don't get with most melodeath.

thing is i want melodies and nice hooky choruses in my melodeth and punch is only a secondary concern.

and this feels more like melodic black metal at times honestly because of the vocals and a lot of staccato riffs and blastbeats just that the production is way too clean

Damn breh to me this has more hooks than a Bass Pro Shop. I think that's a big reason they're so popular, plus I think the slick production helps the musicianship shine in full form. Can't get enough of it lol
