I obsessed so much over this band in the years leading up to them finally releasing Material Control
|
| |
We all agree that pretty much everything they dropped after this is better right?

After watching this, i get why Pika compares them heavily against letlive

MC and this are about even for me. MC is far more consistent from front to back while this has a lot of their best material but also probably the only songs I firmly dislike from the band.

Yeah, exactly the same boat here. The bangers here are better than anything on MC, but damn that album keeps up the bar better.
Will give MC the edge just because caustic noise rock >> 00s angst pie

Yeah this is pretty solidly in the Glassjaw basement

Yeah Worship to start definitely and then the EPs
And then Material Control when you want to hear just the fucking gnarliest bass tone
Edit honestly even if you find you're not super into Glassjaw still gotta hear that Material Control bass

Material Control + Vanilla Poltergeist Snake bass can both fuck me up any day

I know it's not their best song of all time, but goddamn Siberian Kiss still fucking makes me want to murder people.

piano is a cool song even if the lyrics are... questionable to say the least
but you dont need mynameispencil to tell you that about everything you ever wanted to know about silence in 2021

Well, if you had a rough breakup with your gf/so, and she's the one to blame for the break up the album makes absolute sense. Or are you going to tell me that reggaeton/trap is more acceptable than this because the lyrics acknowledge that there is sexual consent?.
