Honestly can't stand "70's Priest vs. Painkiller" discussions. Like Christ who cares. I think Seasons in the Abyss is better than Reign in Blood but you don't see me losing my shit on threads when someone thinks otherwise. They're both good albums with a different things to like about them by the same band. The only reason why people bitch that Painkiller is overrated is because they see all the praise going to Painkiller and they get insecure that their favorite Priest album (Sad Wings, Stained Class, etc) aren't getting as much praise/attention so they go on here and make stupid as shit arguments about how they "can't believe anyone would like Painkiller more than 70's Priest". And this is coming from a guy who's favorite Priest album is Sad Wings. But these types of discussions are why I don't get onto Priest threads much here anymore. All it is is an endless loop of the same arguments and "points" being raised. It's like they can't grasp people like different things for different reasons. Holy shit. /end rant

@Blenderman Absolutely true dude. 70's Priest is the bomb, and so is Painkiller, and that is all that should really matter.

No. Drum intro rules but then Halford ruins it with his annoying voice

which by the way is the big problem in the album for me

Nagging Painkiller is stupid to begin with. It wreaks of cheese, but cheese is delicious, and that's probably the most charming aspect of Painkiller and, to a smaller extent, Priest in general. In addition to cheese, this album riffs really goddam hard for days.
