That said, Brann is still an amateur-ish singer, backed by good studio-work. He may be responsible for ruining the band chances to get bigger audiences everytime he sings live, specially on TV.
At this point, he should just use pre-recorded tracks and lipsync IMO.
Have you noticed that every performance people in the comments say: "he is getting better" or "wow, what an improvement".
But its always the same shit: breathless, hardly keeping up with the drums, and when Troy sings half way through the song, the comparison is ridiculous.
I really love his songs since Once More Round the Sun.... but it doesn't work live.

Lol twerkty fourteen was a great year.
Also, Brann has improved by leaps and bounds as a vocalist. Compare the above 2014 vocal performance with this one from 2019. Dude is more than capable of pulling his weight live.

In fact you could pick out a few bits where the playing is a bit off, or Troy's singing is also a bit tired.
So, can't say I agree. In the studio he is the best singer too, I'd argue. And Brent has terrible singing on their Live at the Aragon

Brann sounds like somebody singing in the shower. The only reason I gave this a 4 instead of much higher is due 99% to the fact that Brann is all over this thing vocally when it should be the other two vastly more interesting vocalists in the band doing their thing.

I gave CD2 another full listening and..... it felt long and slow
maybe it was not my perfect mood, but I failed to find any Jaguar God at the end of this release.
That said. I can comfortably delete CD2.flac from my soundstation
my personal CD1 score remains a stoned 10/10 and CD2 falls to a lazy 6/10

this is so solid and dull
i dont like many of the riffs and i dont like most of the songwriting and as good as they are at music they keep everything so cracked down that it's not interesting or even particularly remarkable
someone get them to make a weird album, its awful to be confronted with this much Decent Metal
