1:55 of The Hollow Hour has such melancholia vibe... it makes my skin crawl... and then that subtle release at 2:30... and right back into the storm at 2:47, the transitions are impeccable BRILLIANCE, probably my favorite part of the album, and those keys just BRING IT OVER THE EDGE, UGHHHH

Also does anyone else think this is a concept album in disguise, about a girl that is going through life's everyday struggles, can't take it anymore and kills herself.
The distortion at the end of Risen to me symbolises a tape that she recorded before she died and the tape is played at her funeral, or her family listens to it while grieving for her

Balancing the dark is just anxiety, pure anxiety. It does it great though love the creepy synth and muddy bassline.
My favorite tracks here are The Hollow Hour and Contretemps.
Logged into another computer that I don't use often and put this album on..didnt notice the settings were on shuffle. I implore everyone to never ever do the same misstake. Hearing Risen after Rituals is all kinds of wrong.
