Good quick update from her on the followup to this, also to be written with Antonoff.

Said she wants it to still be listened to in "ten, twenty, thirty years..."

Always wary of artists hyping their own work but for some reason I believe her

How's it better then I'm seriously asking

Because it certainly can't be the melodies or hooks, this easily blows it away

Better lyrics here too if you ask me

one thing I'll give it is that its homogenous beats rule and are better than any beats here... but they get old after a few songs

"ribs" and "400 lux" and "a world alone" just hit different babey

i'll try and actually think of a good reason why I prefer PH tho I guess it comes down to songwriting?

I'd give this the melodic edge, it's very tuneful compared to PH

Songwriting this as well for the homogeneity I already mentioned about PH

Lyricism I can't say definitely because I don't remember very many from PH, I just know the lyrics on this one are very good

'ribs' is probs better than anything on here yeah but then i kind of think i like every single thing on this album better than anything else on PH save perhaps '400 lux' ??

this feels like more of an unabashedly ~pop~ album than PH and i could see that turning people off. but man i go back and listen to 'tennis court' or something and hear the boom chs chs chs BOOm x1000 i'm like yeah i really appreciate this one

Agreed. Most of this album is 4.5 star tracks, most of PH is 3.5 tracks with a 5 or maybe two.
