Just jammed this today after a couple months, then jammed MoP after it. Still feel the same about both records. I actually like "Trapped Under Ice" and "Escape" a lot more than other people here.

@rockandmetal There is nothing at all, but people have complained about them being some of their worst 80's output, and I'm all like "nigguh u aint doin metallica right."

People always find something to complain about. Some "hardcore" fans disliked Nothing Else Matters and Unforgiven when they got first released even though the songs are excellent. Who the fuck cares ? Let them be.

i think someone in this thread described this album in particular as pure party thrash, and you gotta admit that's prob the best way to describe this album, especially with how it compares to the rest of their discog

The middle section of Phantom Lord (right after the solos) always gets me. I mean goddamn its some good songwriting.
