ou can enjoy it if you just pick random albums Lark. I've started listening to them with Act IV. Each album follows a specific narrative that all clicks together with the other albums, but they all have their own little story arc. Get in on these guys Lark, you might be missing out on one of your new favorite bands. They certainly are one of mine.

I have their entire discog on cd here, including the entire color spectrum collection here. Might have to start with Act I tomorrow.

I mean, I bought them all. I’m going chronologically, but with color spectrum, migrant etc. Just gonna start with act I. If I don’t really like it, oh well. Gonna keep going regardless.

Migrant is the only one I would advise you not to start with, all the others are fine starting points, though the color spectrum is a little large. Keep in mind that the first two acts are a little rougher around the edges and it gets more polished and refined as the acts continue. They're all amazing though and even the earlier ones have a ton to enjoy.

I think you'll like Act I. Might be worth leaving the non-Acts albums til after you've gone through the acts so that you get the acts in one listening series without any diversions.

Or do what I did and listen to colour spectrum first. Get you into the vibe of the band and appreciate their versatility before jumping into the Acts proper.

disagree, but with rougher around the edges I didn't mean in terms of quality of the music, but more in the fact that Casey's voice is rougher, the production less slick and the music a little grittier. Overall quality of all of their material is through the roof.

Am I better off jamming every color EP or just jamming Color Spectrum?

If you like this band do all the EPs. The Color Spectrum (non-complete collection) does a decent job of capturing the highlights, but you'd be missing a ton of great songs.
