"they both rip in their own respective bands"

honestly i'm not a fan of julie in her other projects. not to bash her, as i said she does sound great on this album but i feel a lot of that has to do with col who set the perfect ground for julie to fit in. i don't think she's been able to be so convincing on her other projects

I feel the complete opposite. She was amazing in Made out of Babies and Battle of Mice and even her solo album is really good. Her eclectic style isn’t for everybody but I love it.

Your username is making me want to believe you, solely for music related reasons you understand (I don't do that shit, anymore).

The Ruiner was my favorite Made Out Of Babies record and she was really good on that, I didn't like the first 2 records quite as much. Her solo album was pretty good imo and Battle of Mice was solid also.

I’ve been listening to metal music since 1983 I’d say prog this is not.

the definition of (or what gets labeled as) prog had stretched since then. post-metal is still (or should be) progressive in nature.

By that logic, all black metal should be labelled prog too, because it shares a lot with post-metal, especially in its song structures.

idk how you got to that conclusion but I saw that you responded back in less than 3 minutes. I already was clear last page.

Take A Greater Call off this record, for example. Replace the vocals, change the tuning, boom, done.

Just heard the new album and its fantastic folks! Will need a couple of spins to fully appreciate though, it's long and meanders a little at points, but that just makes it breathe. Lights on the Hill is incredible and The Fall is a gargantuan titan of a closer.
