The problem I have with this is that although I like the music a fair bit I can't get into the guys vocals at all. They're flat and monotonous to me, can't take them in large quantities.

Nope, I haven't. But the vocals on this do not remind me of the Beatles at all. Hate the vocals here, love the Beatles vocals (maybe except for the odd song or two).

kevins vocals sound a ton like lennons vocals on the psych-y beatles stuff (lucy etc) imo

if you think youd like more beatles/psych rock sounding tame check lonerism, its much more traditional psych rock vs the electronic pop here, great album
