I caught them on their last North American tour and IIRC, there were several what I took to be Japanese fans who came all the way for the overseas tour but primarily the fans were locals or people who are from America (some even came all the way to catch multiple shows on the tour). My uncomfortableness during that had a lot to do with how the fans behaved during meet and greet pictures. The band looked visibly uncomfortable...Kyo even turned completely back when one fan went too far with her pose with the band. One thing that still remains with me to this day apart from that was how firm Kyo’s handshake was. I’m quite firm with handshakes myself but that caught me by surprise.

I actually have the ticket stub with me still and VIP (ticket included) was $128 USD. But unlike Europe who got a signed CD as well, all I got was just a signed tour poster that ended up being crumpled and beat up by the end of the show from all the fans ruckus, and the usual meet and greet stuff of questions and pictures. For that price I thought it wasn’t too bad actually considering I’ve heard that GazettE VIPs were over $200 when they toured America.

Yeah it wouldn't surprise me if that's the big reason why they look so...dead during fan meets. Too many fans who simply do not know their place, especially in 2007. Kyo wrestles the mic on stage so I'm not surprised his got a firm handshake heh. I'd prefer a signed poster over a signed CD tbh, since I can hang it on my wall. I'll bring a bag and put it somewhere so it doesn't get wrecked. Thanks for the info.

Chorus is just perfect.

Gonna have to bump my rating for this, might just be their most consistent album.

I'd argue that's Unraveling since it's the only album I love every song.

Yeah, hard to argue with that considering I love all the songs on there despite it being an EP of remakes sans the title track which might be my least favorite track on there if I had to pick a weak track. But as far as a proper album, it’s Uroboros and this one for me. Arche was the first “new” DEG album for me and IDK if it’s just sentimental, but it aged really well for me even after I got over the hype of it being the newest (and sell of now, still) DEG album at the time.

t/t for Unraveling grew on me so hard and the production does wonders. The tribal calls, the emphasis on bass and snare enhancing how plodding the track feels and the solo/outro are to me some of their best material ever.

How damn good is Cause of Fickleness though?

Speaking of bass calc, Stuck Man always comes into my head when I think of Diru and bass m/

Probably my personal favorite bassline that Dir ever did is in Amber.

The bass pops in Different Sense rule hard as well.

Tbh I can't pick a weak song on here...Midwife maybe?

Na Midwife bangs, however, the 'freak out' section isn't as bonkers as it should be until it got performed live. That became...demonic to say at least. I wouldn't say there's a weak song but there's definitely a hierarchy to which ones are the bottom of the litter and which are the best.

If I had to give a top 5 here it would have to be Kukoku no Kyouon (top 5 Dir track), Uroko, Rinkaku, Magayasou and Phenomenon or Revelation.

I've overplayed Rinkaku and Sustain because the band always plays them constantly haha. In general, I have to play this album rarely since the band isn't done milking this album until the new album drops.

“Probably my personal favorite bassline that Dir ever did is in Amber.”

My favorite bass lines are typically the ones where Toshiya goes in groove mode rather than virtuoso mode. Mode of Vulgar’s mixing really brought out the groove in Toshiya’s bass and yeah, Amber’s a fav of mine as is Drain Away, Stuck Man, Itoshisha Ha Fuhai Nitsuki, Kudoku Ni Shishu, Yueni Kudoku and Kodou.

Kukoku no Kyuoun is my favorite song on Arche and like Calc, a top 5 DEG song for me. The rest of my top 5 on Arche is Tousei, Rinkaku, Revelation Of Mankind and...Kaishun.
