"I used to hate Cities with a passion when it released, up until a few years ago. Definitely a grower."

I really don't think it was Cities. It's accessible rock, how is it a grower? I'm pretty sure it has more to do with your expectations than anything else.

Anything can be a grower. There`s a lot of personal subjective factors in music.

I ended up liking this a lot more than I thought I would when I first got it.

I still think it's a near classic. This is just comparable to Pianos Become the Teeth in terms of getting you to unearth upsetting feelings inside yourself. The other albums don't do that as much or as well.

This is working its way up to a 5 for me too. It's their best since Cities

I heard this again for the first time in probably 2 years and had to bump it. This is such a great final chapter to their career, though I wish they'd return.

I still thoroughly enjoy this band. Just about everything is in the 3.5 - 4 category for me. This, NTFP, and Vital/Devotion are my favorites.

Their final performance albums of NTFP and Cities live are pretty amazing too. I've been jamming those lately.
