quite certain i remember this band being popular on here before jac even became a member - no disrespect to him. it wasn't until incurso was released that a small vocal minority of people on here were like "lol overt technicality SO BAD"

hmm, trying to feel this one, and it's got some good hooks and cool ideas at points, but I'm really struggling to find something memorable about it
everytime there's something that catches me it switches to some wanky sweep and time signature change (bad prog style)

quick aside, despite the names and brutal subject matter and spooky cover art, why does the majority of typical tech death seemed to be mired in this odd goofy cheesiness? from the vocals and the production style and the like, it's hard to tell if the goof is intentional or not

I get ya, guess sometimes it's okay to embrace the cheese, but it can go either way. Try Cabinet, I find it doesn't push the boundaries of lactose intolerance quite so much.

I should try again with this, it's undoubtedly impressive I just don't really vibe with their style. Although why this leaves me cold, yet Daesin is pefectly peachy (admittedly) makes absolutely no sense to me.

Noctambulant is probably my favorite but this is def a classic tech death album, the fact that so few bands are able to reach these heights is a testament to Spawn of Possessionās status as one of the best tech death bands ever
