For me, that moment is the part in Vengeance Is Mine when David goes "MY SWORD SHALL TAKE... LIIIIIIIIIIFE" and then that following riff. So fucking good

I’m 100% not going to discover any new bands by asking this question, but I will still ask: which other bands scratch this same itch for you guys? It feels like when I’m in the mood for MA, they’re almost literally the only band that seems to do it for me. Sometimes I’ll try Dark Angel, Kreator, etc, and they come close but not quite there. I need something that is 70% death, 30% thrash, and overtly occult. Lol

gorephilia - in the eye or nothing is a modern album thats about as morbid angel worship as it gets

it also depends on what era of this band you're looking for, angelcorpse is one if you're looking for more altars-esque stuff
second gorephilia for covenant/formulas-era
sadistic intent sort of covers the full spectrum from A to F pretty well

Mithras -behind the shadow lie madness is pretty much blessed to formulas era MA worship with bands spacey vibe and funny guitar effects. Especially riffing and drumming are quite MA-esque.
