Time To Dance is probably the song of my college years and the piano driven one about being the new cancer was my personal karaoke favourite

I might check out the rest of PATD's discog someday, but this album turned me off of the entire catalogue because of how much I hated it from the second it started playing :[

Hated this when it came out and thought the singer sounded so fucking douchey
Over time the catchiness won me over but I'm still not particularly proud of it

Well you were right about the singer

be proud of it sowie

Vices and Virtue is the last full album worth jamming through. Some hits spread throughout the rest of their later discog but as a whole not really worth the dive.

i genuinely have a nostalgia for this lp. revisiting now and 'but its better if you do' and 'nails for breakfast' both hold up pretty well. the rest is all sort of blending together
this felt really fresh at the time, and unashamedly fun for an emo album

They used to be my favorite band. I have an extremely deep affection for this album. I was so bad at English that I memorized the whole album just by syllables and phonemes.
The album creates a very peculiar atmosphere, which I now consider to be frivolous. Just like that Moulin Rouge movie.

“ Just like that Moulin Rouge movie.”
Moulin Rouge might just be the most apt comparison for this album. And I hate that movie for the exact same reasons, lol
